West Coast to Celebrate Aqua Day

The West Coast’s “Aqua Have a Go Day” is a fun community event that allows participants to have a go at a range of water sports for free.

Sport West Coast would like to thank all the clubs, volunteers and organisations who have provided generous support – without them this event wouldn’t be possible.

Date: Saturday 21 January 2012

Location: Lake Brunner, Moana

Here is a look at the 2011 (last year’s) Aqua Day schedule, to give you an idea of the activities planned:

Time: 9:30am-1:30pm

Jet Boat Rides and Biscuiting – FREE

West Coast Jet Boat Association

 

Time: 10am-2pm

Kayaking – FREE

Westland Canoe Club

IRB Rescue Demo – FREE

Kotuku Surf Lifesaving Club

 

Time: 12:30pm

Lucky Dip Swim – $2 per duck

Kotuku Surf Lifesaving Club

Swim out and collect a numbered yellow duck, bring it back to shore to collect your lucky dip prize. Prizes correspond to the number on your duck. There is a limited number of ducks, so be in quick!

Sport West Coast reserves the right to cancel or amend this event/activities if there is a potential risk to the safety of participants.
