Christchurch has become known for getting creative for many reasons. Finding ways to keep kids active this summer is one more – and in this case, getting creative has meant a brand new series of community events.
Sport Canterbury’s NEW Top Team event series has taken off in November, thanks to stunning weather, supportive communities and enthusiastic schools.
The Top Team Corporate Challenge on 25 November offered “Christchurch’s alternative to the office Christmas party.”
From 21 November, Top Team School Challenges kicked off around Greater Christchurch, with students embracing the crazy games and summer fun.
Each team, made up of eight players, includes a mixture of both male and female participants. Each team completes 12 different games including Sawdust Capers, Faulty Towers , A Question of Balance, Egg and Spoon, Gumboot Throw, House of Cards and more.
On 3 December, the Top Team Community Challenge will be held at Aranui’s AFFIRM Festival.
